Plextor PX-712A DVD±RW 12x
 Plextor pregateste un nou writter, PX-712A, prevazut sa apara in luna mai. Acesta va suporta scrierea DVD+R 12x si DVD-R 8x, in timp ce discurile DVD+RW/DVD-RW vor fi rescrise la 4x. Vitezele de citire vor fi de 16x pentru DVD (timp de acces 150 ms) si de 48x pentru CD-uri (timp de acces sub 100 ms). Pretul acestei unitati va fi in jur de 160 euro.
Plextor pregateste o noua surpriza cu un model similar PX-712S, destinat insa interfetei Serial-ATA, care va avea un pret de 182. Ambele unitati vor avea 8 MB de memorie cache si vor fi livrate cu pachetul de programe Nero 6 Express.
Plextor nu a anuntat inca oficial un model double layer (DVD+R9) dar se asteapta prezentarea unui astfel de writter cat de curand. PX-712A Benefits
